Made in Germany in 1960, this KKJ combines a blued steel receiver and sporter-contour barrel with a refined walnut stock. The 21.7 in barrel and smooth bolt action reflect Walther’s established rimfire sporting design of the era.
The stock is walnut with a right-hand Monte Carlo cheekpiece and cut checkering on the forend and pistol grip for secure handling. Sling swivels are installed, the length of pull measures 14.0 in, and the buttplate is a black ribbed hard-rubber/plastic unit secured by two screws.
Factory iron sights include a barrel-mounted tangent rear sight with an elevation slide graduated from 25 to 125 meters; the front is a hooded sight base on a ramp. The receiver top features longitudinal dovetail cuts and a central drilled hole.
The bottom metal is steel, with a steel trigger guard and a magazine well secured by floorplate screws fore and aft. Markings include the Walther banner and "Carl Walther, Ulm/Do. Sportwaffenfabrik" rollmarks, along with Ulm stag antler and West German proof marks. A detachable 5-round steel box magazine is included, and the rifle has a 5+1 capacity.
