Sig Sauer P226 9mm Luger - West German, Classic Non-Railed, Matte Silver, DA/SA, 4.4 in Barrel, 15+1
Made in West Germany with German proof marks and SIGARMS Exeter import stamp, this Classic line P226 stands out as a non-railed, full-size 9mm with matching serial numbers on the slide and frame. It features a matte silver finish on both slide and frame, a DA/SA action with decocking lever, and fixed bar-dot sights.
This West German P226 presents the classic, non-railed configuration with a hooked trigger guard and front strap serrations. The 4.4 in barrel is marked "9mm Para" on the hood, and the pistol feeds from standard double-stack magazines for a 15+1 capacity.
The action is DA/SA with a decocking lever for safe transitions, and the sighting system is the traditional bar-dot setup: a front blade with a white dot paired to a rear notch with a white vertical bar. Black checkered polymer grip panels provide a secure, service-ready hold.
Both the slide and aluminum alloy frame wear a uniform matte silver finish, giving this full-size P226 a distinctive, period-correct appearance. As a West German-made example with matching numbers and proper proofing, it aligns closely with what collectors look for in early P226 production.
