The compact aluminum-alloy frame keeps weight down and includes a single-slot accessory rail for a light or similar accessory. The slide rides inside the frame on inverted rails, with front and rear serrations for confident manipulation. A black polycoat finish covers both frame and slide.
Key features include a 3.75-inch steel barrel, fixed 3-dot sights, a skeletonized ring (rowel) hammer with a serrated cocking surface, and black checkered rubber grips with the CZ logo. Capacity is 14+1 with the included compact magazines.
Originating from the Czech Republic, it bears factory proof and inspection marks near the ejection port and an import mark from CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS. It has matching numbers on the slide, frame, and barrel, a factory case label that matches the serial number, and a lanyard loop at the heel. The P-01 lineage carries NATO classification with NSN 1005-16-000-8619.
