The SW1911SC E-Series combines a scandium-alloy aluminum frame with a matte black finish to deliver a compact, approximately 29.5 oz 1911 in .45 ACP. The round-butt (bobtail) grip frame, checkered front strap, and checkered mainspring housing support a secure hold, while a beveled magazine well streamlines reloads.
The slide is finished matte black and includes E-Series fish-scale front and rear cocking serrations for sure handling. It is built with an external extractor, a lowered and flared ejection port, and a serrated slide top. The loaded condition can be visually checked through the ejection port.
Sight regulation is handled by fixed 3-dot tritium night sights, featuring a Trijicon dovetailed front sight and a dovetailed fixed two-dot rear. Controls include a manual thumb safety, grip safety, and firing pin safety. The single-action system is complemented by a skeletonized, three-hole aluminum trigger and a skeletonized rowel-style hammer.
Hardwood E-Series fish-scale grips with an engraved “E” in a diamond panel complete the package with a distinctive look and positive texture. This model carries Manufacturer Part Number 108483 and was manufactured in the USA at Smith & Wesson’s Houlton, Maine facility.
