This Kimber Rapide Dawn is a full-size, Government-pattern 1911 in 9mm Luger with a 5 in match-grade stainless barrel finished in gold TiN. It features a stainless slide with large lightening windows and stepped cocking serrations, TruGlo TFX Pro day/night sights, and a KimPro Silver finish with polished flats throughout. Built in Troy, Alabama, it comes with five 9-round magazines and useful extras.
The 5 in match-grade, bushing-fit stainless barrel uses a 1:16 twist and a durable TiN coating. The stainless slide mirrors the Rapide series look with oversized lightening windows on the sides and top, stepped cocking serrations, and polished flats that match the KimPro Silver finish on the frame.
Sight picture is provided by TruGlo TFX Pro day/night 3-dot sights: a green tritium front with orange ring and a rear with two green tritium lamps marked TG-H3. Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, and a skeletonized, V-cut aluminum trigger paired with a skeletonized hammer.
The stainless frame wears G10 gray/black layered grips with aggressive texturing. Kimber’s Stiplex front-strap texturing, a ridged mainspring housing, and an extended magazine-well funnel integrated with the mainspring housing aid consistent control and faster reloads.
This single-action 1911 runs a 9+1 capacity and ships with five single-stack 9-round stainless magazines. Fit and finish present cleanly in KimPro Silver with polished flats, aligning with the Rapide series design language and U.S. manufacturing.
