This FN 509 Tactical is a full-size 9mm in FDE with the FN Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System and a mounted Vortex Viper red dot. It features a 4.5 inch cold hammer-forged stainless barrel with 1/2x28 threads, suppressor-height night sights, and fully ambidextrous controls. It ships with both 24-round and 17-round factory magazines and includes FN and Vortex factory packaging and accessories.

The 509 Tactical platform delivers duty-proven features in a full-size package. This example is configured without a manual safety and includes ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release, making it adaptable for a wide range of shooters.
The threaded 4.5 inch stainless steel barrel uses a 1/2x28 thread pattern and includes a target crown and O-ring-equipped thread protector. Suppressor-height night sights provide a tall sight picture, while forward and rear slide serrations aid manipulation in varied conditions.
Optics are front and center with the FN Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System on the FDE slide and a mounted Vortex Viper red dot included. The dustcover carries a four-slot MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail for lights or other compatible equipment.
The FDE polymer frame includes interchangeable backstraps (spare included). Two factory steel magazines are provided: one 24-round extended and one 17-round standard, supporting a 24+1 capacity. Slide and frame markings include 509, 9x19, FN COLUMBIA, SC USA, and the FN oval logo, underscoring its U.S. manufacture.
