The SR1911 Target configuration pairs a fully adjustable target rear sight with a black post front, giving precise control over point of impact. The pistol uses a Government-length 5-inch barrel with a standard barrel bushing, and a single-stack 1911 magazine interface with a rated capacity of 10+1.
Construction is all stainless steel with a matte finish. The slide and barrel are CNC-machined from bar stock, and the stainless frame is investment-cast with an integral plunger tube machined into the frame. Rear cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port support reliable operation and easy manipulation.
The fire-control setup includes a skeletonized Commander-style hammer and a skeletonized, three-hole aluminum trigger. It runs a Series 70-style system with a titanium firing pin and a heavy firing-pin spring, without a firing-pin block. Safety features include a thumb safety and a grip safety.
Ergonomics are enhanced by textured black/gray grip panels with Ruger medallions. The pistol is marked PRESCOTT AZ, RUGER SR1911, and RUGER MADE IN USA. This example is the Target submodel, mfg. part number 06736, produced in 2017.
