The FNX-45 Tactical is engineered for .45 ACP performance with a 5.3 in extended, threaded barrel (.578x28 RH) that is cold hammer-forged stainless steel. The threading supports use with compatible muzzle devices, and the extended length maximizes velocity while maintaining reliability.
Its stainless-steel slide features an optics cut with a cover plate and accepts MRDS via the included factory plates, allowing co-witness with the fixed suppressor-height 3-dot night sights. Front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and a loaded chamber indicator round out the slide features.
The hammer-fired DA/SA system uses an external ring-style hammer and ambidextrous safety/decocker, paired with an ambidextrous magazine release for fully bilateral controls. The black polymer frame includes aggressive grip checkering, interchangeable backstraps with FN medallions, and an integral accessory rail on the dustcover.
This full-size pistol offers a 15+1 capacity in .45 ACP with steel double-stack magazines. Overall length is 8.6 in, unloaded weight is 33.3 oz, and the finish is an all-black presentation. A serial-number plate is located on the dustcover rail for clear identification.
