The 23-inch fully rifled barrel is optimized for slugs and is paired with a Weaver-style cross-slot cantilever rail. This setup allows an optic to be mounted directly to the barrel assembly while the receiver remains clean of sights. The barrel is plainly muzzled with no iron sights, and the factory markings include "12GA. 2 3/4" OR 3" - FULLY RIFLED" and "REMINGTON ILION, NY" along with a star prefix on the barrel stamp.
The Express Synthetic configuration uses a matte black synthetic stock and matching fore-end, both with molded checkering for secure handling. A soft recoil pad and a rear sling swivel stud are factory features, and this shotgun comes outfitted with a padded rubberized shoulder sling for carry. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
This pump-action 12 gauge uses a cross-bolt safety and right-side ejection. A polymer trigger guard with "Remington" molded on the underside and the "Remington 870" receiver rollmark round out the receiver details. The action is configured for practical field use with a durable matte black finish.
Capacity is 6+1, supported by a magazine extension with a matching barrel/magazine clamp. The chamber accepts both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch 12 gauge shells, aligning with its dedicated deer/slug role. The clean bore and sharp rifling condition further support accurate slug performance.
Origin is the United States, and this example is configured specifically for deer/slug use with no iron sights and a cantilever rail on the barrel for mounting an optic. The included scope rings provide a straightforward path to add glass suited to your preferred slug load.
