This Springfield Armory Echelon is a full-size 9mm with a 4.5" hammer-forged barrel, billet-machined steel slide, and factory steel tritium 3-dot sights. It features Springfield's Variable Interface System (VIS) direct-mount optics interface and the Central Operating Group (COG) removable serialized chassis. Finished in black Melonite/nitride with aggressive wraparound serrations, this model offers a 17+1 capacity and comes with useful factory extras.

The Echelon’s billet-machined steel slide wears a black Melonite/nitride finish and includes front, rear, and wraparound serrations with a forward trench cut for confident manipulation. The 4.5" hammer-forged barrel is chambered in 9mm Luger, with the barrel hood marked "9x19."
Factory steel tritium 3-dot sights are installed, with the rear sight marked "MH3." The slide is optics cut with a cover plate bearing the Springfield Armory crossed-cannons crest, and it uses the VIS direct-mount interface with locating pins. This example includes VIS Pin Sets 2 and 3 to support common optics footprints noted above.
The polymer grip module features a textured surface and interchangeable backstraps for fit tuning. Controls include bilateral slide stop levers, a left-side takedown lever, and a push-button magazine release. A five-slot 1913/Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover supports lights or lasers.
Inside, the COG removable serialized chassis anchors the striker-fired system. The flat-faced trigger with safety tab and trigger safety are factory features. Capacity is 17+1 using the included double-column steel magazine. This EC9459B-3D variant is manufactured in Croatia.
