The M18 Commemorative series replicates the military-style markings, including the SIG CAGE code and the slide rollmark "SIG SAUER M18." The commemorative serial format uses an M18-prefix, and this example includes a matching-format serialized challenge coin and documentation. The frame molding is marked "NEWINGTON, NH, USA," reflecting domestic manufacture.
Built on Sig's modular fire control unit design, this compact model features a 3.9 in barrel chambered in 9mm Luger and a stainless steel slide with a durable PVD finish in coyote. Front and rear cocking serrations aid manipulation. The slide is optic cut and covered by a removable rear-sight plate, allowing the pistol to retain a clean profile as configured.
SIGLITE tritium 3-dot night sights are installed from the factory. Controls include an ambidextrous manual safety and a reversible magazine release. A loaded chamber indicator is present. The dustcover integrates a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail for lights or other compatible accessories.
The barrel uses 6-groove, right-hand rifling with a 1:10 in twist. The factory lists an overall length of 7.2 in, height of 5.55 in, width of 1.55 in, and an empty weight of approximately 28 to 29 oz. Capacity is 21+1 with the included 21-round magazines, and a 17-round magazine is also provided.
