Built in New Haven, Connecticut, this Model 12 carries the period barrel address and Winchester Proof Steel marking. The barrel was originally marked FULL but now wears the installed adjustable choke, with the single front bead mounted on the muzzle device. The plain 26 in barrel, right-side ejection, and internal hammer reflect the traditional Model 12 format.
The takedown configuration includes a separable barrel and magazine assembly with a takedown collar, making transport and maintenance straightforward. A barrel/magazine clamp is present, and capacity is listed at 6+1 with a 2 3/4 chamber.
Controls and operation are true to the era, including a pump-action system that is slam-fire capable. Sighting is simple and fast with a front bead only and no rear sight.
Walnut furniture consists of a ribbed, uncheckered forend and an uncheckered pistol-grip buttstock. The stock wears a solid rubber recoil pad with a black spacer and circular maker’s medallion, and length of pull measures 14.5 in.
External markings include an adjacent W stamp near the serial number. The blued steel receiver and barrel reflect the Model 12’s durable construction from the pre-WWII era.
