The receiver is marked "Remington 870 EXPRESS MAGNUM" and wears a matte black finish over a steel receiver. It uses a polymer trigger plate assembly and a cross-bolt safety, consistent with the Express Magnum configuration.
The 26 in barrel has a vent rib with longitudinal serrations and a single front bead for a clean sight picture. The barrel is marked "20 GA. FOR 2 3/4 in OR 3 in" and the chamber supports both shell lengths. Internal choke threads are present at the muzzle for removable choke tubes.
Furniture is upgraded with a Boyds laminated thumbhole buttstock in gray/black laminate and a matching laminated fore-end, both installed by the previous owner. The stock includes a recoil pad and a rear sling-swivel stud, and the length of pull measures 14.25 in.
