The stainless slide includes front and rear serrations and the Springfield crossed-cannons crest on the top. The black polymer frame features Mega-Lock texturing, interchangeable backstraps, and an integrated accessory rail. The magazine release is ambidextrous.
Safety suite includes a grip safety, trigger safety, a loaded chamber indicator, and a striker status indicator. Sighting is via fixed, dovetailed 3-dot front and rear units.
Markings include "MADE IN CROATIA" and "SPRINGFIELD INC GENESEO IL." The case label model code matches this configuration; however, the factory case label’s serial reads MS915065 and does not match the pistol’s on-gun serial MG915065 (slide, barrel hood, and frame) or the serial on the included factory inspection/test card. The included factory inspection/test card is dated October 11, 2008.
