The 92S configuration pairs a slide-mounted safety/decocker with Beretta’s open-top slide and falling locking-block system. This setup, along with the external extractor, reflects the hallmark early 92-series design and Italian manufacture.
Controls are consistent with European-service patterns of the period. The heel-style magazine release is located at the grip heel. For magazine compatibility, later 92-series magazines should have both the standard and heel-release notches to properly lock in this model.
Construction includes a blued steel slide over a light-alloy, anodized frame. The 4.9-inch steel barrel and approximately 6.10-inch sight radius support the fixed-sight arrangement: an integral fixed-blade front and a dovetailed square-notch rear. A lanyard ring is positioned at the grip heel.
Markings include the PW ARMS Redmond, WA import stamp. An observed U-prefix serial aligns with the listed circa 1978–1982 era. Capacity is 15+1 with the included 15-round magazine.
