Recreator Blanks FORTY-7 7.62x39 AKM-Pattern Rifle, 16.3 in Threaded Barrel, 1969 Izhevsk Parts Kit Build
Custom-assembled from a 1969 Izhevsk (Izhmash) AKM parts kit and built on a Recreator Blanks FORTY-7 stamped receiver, this semi-automatic rifle pairs authentic Soviet components with a new U.S.-made receiver. The trunnion carries the Izhevsk triangle-with-arrow emblem and 1969 date. Matching numbers are noted across the build except for the sight leaf (scrubbed) and one handguard. It features laminated wood furniture, a ribbed top cover, and a threaded 16.3 in barrel with an AKM 7.62 slant compensator. Condition is very good overall with an excellent bore.

Assembled on a stamped, riveted FORTY-7 receiver, this rifle follows the AKM pattern with a standard long-stroke gas piston and a vented gas tube. The ribbed top cover and Izhevsk-marked trunnion reinforce the parts-kit pedigree while delivering the robust AKM feature set in a semi-automatic configuration with no third pin.
The 16.3 in threaded barrel is fitted with the correct-pattern AKM 7.62 slant compensator. Sighting is traditional, with a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight leaf graduated from 1 to 10 for quick elevation changes.
Laminated wood furniture includes a fixed buttstock and a palm-swell lower handguard for a solid, period-correct feel. The pistol grip is the reddish-brown molded polymer/bakelite type with checkering and a 5/2 mold code.
All matching numbers are noted across the build except for the sight leaf (scrubbed) and one handguard. Capacity is stated at 30+1, and a Magpul PMAG polymer magazine and a canvas web sling are included.
