This Springfield Armory XD-40 Tactical is a full-size, striker-fired .40 S&W with a 5-inch steel barrel, Trijicon 3-dot tritium night sights, and an integral accessory rail. Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported by Springfield Armory U.S.A., it features front and rear slide serrations and a top-mounted pivoting loaded-chamber indicator. It comes with three 12-round stainless steel magazines and the original XD Gear accessories and factory hard case.

The Tactical variant pairs the XD-40 platform with a 5-inch barrel for a full-size configuration. The slide is matte black with front and rear serrations, and it carries factory roll marks including XD-40 and TACTICAL. The barrel hood is marked 40 SW, and the pistol retains matching serial numbers on the slide, barrel, and frame insert.
Sighting is via Trijicon 3-dot tritium night sights, with the front marked H3 10. A top-mounted pivoting loaded-chamber indicator provides both visual and tactile status, complementing the XD’s trigger safety and grip safety system.
The black polymer frame includes an integral accessory rail with two cross-slots for mounting compatible lights or lasers. Capacity is 12+1 with the included stainless steel double-stack magazines. The action is striker-fired with a short-recoil, locked-breech design.
