The Nikon P-223 3-9x40 is a 1" tube riflescope configured around the .223 Rem/5.56 NATO trajectory with the BDC 600 reticle, featuring open-circle aiming points and hold marks out to 600 yards. Magnification runs 3-9x with a 40mm objective and a fixed 100-yard parallax setting.

This unit includes a cantilever-style Picatinny mount and flip-up lens caps, with a throw lever fitted to the power ring.
