Made in Germany and proofed at Ulm, this P22 carries the eagle over N nitro proof and Ulm antler marks, along with the DE country code. The slide is marked with the Carl Walther Ulm/Do – Made in Germany legend, and the right-side breech block/slide window near the ejection port bears the SMITH & WESSON Springfield, MA import mark.
The fixed-barrel, simple blowback design pairs with a DA/SA trigger and external hammer for straightforward operation. Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the paddle-style magazine release and slide-mounted manual safety/decocker with an internal automatic safety system.
Sighting is handled by adjustable open sights, with a front post and an adjustable rear unit featuring a windage screw. Front and rear slide serrations aid manipulation, and the integral accessory rail supports the included Walther laser module.
