Built on Sig's 1911 Ultra platform, this micro-size .45 ACP uses a compact/officer-length grip and a 3.3 in bushingless bull barrel with a reverse plug for a tight, consistent lockup. The non-railed alloy frame keeps weight down while maintaining the familiar 1911 ergonomics.
The factory Nickel PVD finish is applied to the slide, frame, and receiver for a uniform appearance. Rear cocking serrations and an external extractor are integrated into the slide. Textured G10 "piranha" grip panels provide a positive hold.
Controls are single-action only with a beavertail grip safety featuring a memory bump and a single-sided thumb safety. The trigger is a skeletonized curved unit with an overtravel screw, paired with a skeletonized commander-style hammer.
SIGLITE 3-dot night sights are low-profile and dovetailed. The front strap and mainspring housing are checkered, and the mainspring housing incorporates a funnel-style magwell. Capacity is 7+1, and this pistol includes three 7-round magazines. The factory case label shows model 1911UT-45-NI (SAO, SIGLITE, Nickel PVD) dated 02-AUG-2018 and matches the pistol's serial.
