The rifle is chambered in .22 WMR and feeds from an 11-round tubular magazine with a removable inner magazine tube. Ejection is to the right through a side port, keeping the receiver top clean for the factory open sights. Length of pull measures 14.0".
Construction is all-steel where it counts, with a blued, round 20.5" barrel marked "Winchester Proof Steel" and "Made in New Haven, Conn., U.S.A." The receiver is blued steel as well, providing a consistent, traditional finish throughout.
The walnut stock and fore-end are checkered and finished in a straight-grip profile. At the rear is a steel buttplate with cross-hatched checkering bearing the Winchester logo, adding both traction and period-correct branding.
Sighting is handled by a hooded front sight on a ramp and an adjustable rear leaf with an elevator. This example also features Winchester's factory takedown design via the left-side receiver screw, with matching serial numbers on both receiver halves at the takedown seam.
