The GP100 Standard is built on Ruger’s solid no-sideplate frame with a triple-locking cylinder that secures at the front, rear, and bottom for consistent alignment under recoil. The transfer-bar safety, DA/SA action, exposed hammer, and smooth-faced trigger provide a dependable, versatile operating system for a 6-round .357 Magnum revolver.
The 4.2 inch alloy-steel barrel uses a full-length underlug, an integral ejector-rod shroud, and a serrated top rib. Inside, 5-groove rifling with a 1:18.75 RH twist supports accurate bullet stabilization. Overall length is 9.50 inches, and the unloaded weight is 40 oz.
Sighting is straightforward and precise with a ramp front and a fully adjustable rear. The revolver wears a uniform blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and receiver. Ergonomics are enhanced by black Hogue Monogrip rubber grips with finger grooves, with a molded Ruger phoenix logo. The frame carries the Ruger phoenix logo rollmark.
