The barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling, paired with a full-length tubular magazine listed at 19+1. It is designed to feed .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle, offering flexibility for range use and small-game loads.
The takedown receiver breaks open via a large knurled takedown screw, making storage and maintenance straightforward. This example is from the pre–cross-bolt safety era, maintaining the earlier configuration without a cross-bolt safety.
Sighting is handled by a ramped front blade/post in a dovetail base and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with elevator. The receiver is drilled and tapped with filler screws installed. The hardwood stock and smooth, uncheckered forend wear a gloss finish, with a pistol-grip profile, white-line spacer, Marlin logo buttplate, fixed sling swivel loops, and a 13.0" length of pull.
