Built on S&W’s X-Frame and chambered in .500 S&W Magnum, this revolver is configured with a five-shot fluted cylinder and a 10.5-inch stainless steel barrel. The overall length is 18 inches, and the unloaded weight is approximately 79.3 ounces, giving it notable stability with magnum loads.
The barrel assembly includes Performance Center features: a factory recoil compensator with porting to help manage muzzle rise, and lightening cuts along the barrel shroud. An integral Weaver-style optics base is machined in, complementing the iron sight setup for flexible sighting choices.
The action is double-action/single-action and Performance Center tuned, with a smooth, wide trigger and a flash-chromed hammer and trigger. The hammer has a checkered spur for positive control. Hogue Dual-Density Monogrips provide a secure, recoil-absorbing hold.
Sighting is straightforward and precise with a high-visibility orange ramp front sight and an adjustable white-outline rear sight. Sling studs are factory-installed front and rear, and a black padded sling with detachable swivels is included and mounted.
The revolver wears a uniform glass-bead matte stainless finish across the frame and cylinder for a durable, low-glare surface. Major components (frame, cylinder, barrel/shroud/compensator, and optics base) are stainless steel; however, the Hogue rubber grip, black steel rear sight blade and orange-insert front sight, and the black sling swivels and nylon sling are not stainless.
