The 870 Tac-14 pairs a 14-inch barrel and fixed cylinder bore with a compact overall length of approximately 26.2–26.3 inches. The barrel is marked "REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY ILION, NY" and uses a simple single front bead sight for fast alignment.
The receiver is milled from solid steel and finished in matte black oxide, with right-side ejection. The right side of the receiver displays a laser-etched 2D code adjacent to the serial. Unloaded weight is about 5.6 pounds, providing a sturdy feel in a compact format.
