The M4E1 lower brings practical enhancements, including an integral trigger guard and a flared magwell for easy magazine changes. It uses a threaded bolt-catch pin and an upper-to-lower tensioning screw, and its selector markings support both 90° and 45° throws.
The upper receiver features a forward assist, brass deflector, and ejection-port cover. The 11.5 in barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2-style flash hider. This pistol operates via a gas-operated, direct-impingement, semi-automatic action chambered in 5.56mm NATO.
The Aero Precision ATLAS R-ONE free-float handguard is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and provides a continuous top Picatinny rail with multiple M-LOK slots. A Picatinny rail section is installed at the 6 o'clock position for added mounting flexibility.
Controls and furniture are set up for confident handling, with an ambidextrous charging handle featuring extended bilateral latches, a polymer pistol grip with textured panels, and an SB Tactical arm brace with a rear strap on a carbine receiver extension. The pistol is finished in matte black and has a 30+1 capacity.
