It is the California-designated submodel with a non-threaded barrel and is marked Made in Germany with C.I.P. proofs and American Tactical importer markings. The GSG-922 CA is a single-action, blowback-operated semiautomatic built on a 1911 platform in a compact, Officer-size format. It carries a 3.4 inch non-threaded barrel specific to the CA submodel and a 10+1 capacity in .22 LR. The integral four-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover makes mounting a light or laser straightforward.
Controls and ergonomics follow the 1911 pattern with multiple safeties: manual thumb safety, grip safety, magazine disconnect, firing-pin safety, and disconnector. It uses a skeletonized, 3-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Checkered black double-diamond grip panels provide a secure, classic 1911 feel.
The sighting system is a yellow 3-dot setup with an interchangeable-height front post and a rear sight that is drift-adjustable for windage. The sight radius is approximately 4.96 inches, supporting precise alignment on small targets.
