This custom sporting rifle by Mike Palazzo is built on an FN commercial Mauser 98 controlled-round-feed action and chambered in .300 WSM. It features a 26.5 in heavy-contour matte stainless barrel with a radial multi-port muzzle brake, a spiral-fluted bolt, and engraved steel bottom metal with a deer-head game scene and scroll. The fancy walnut stock has a right-hand shadowline cheekpiece and hand-cut checkering, and the receiver carries Belgian proofs and FN markings.

Built on the FN commercial Mauser 98 platform, this rifle retains controlled-round-feed operation with an internal box magazine and a hinged floorplate for a 3+1 capacity. The receiver shows the Belgian PV smokeless proof on the ring, the FN oval logo, and the "ACTION - MADE IN BELGIUM" marking. The barrel is stamped "M. PALAZZO / 300 WSM," confirming the maker and chambering.
The 26.5 in heavy-contour matte stainless barrel is paired with a radial multi-port muzzle brake to help manage recoil. There are no iron sights, and a set of two-piece scope bases is installed, ready for the buyer's choice of rings and optic.
Stockwork and metalwork are highlights of this build. The fancy walnut sporter stock includes a right-hand shadowline cheekpiece, hand-cut diamond checkering, wraparound fore-end checkering, sling swivel studs, and a black rubber recoil pad with spacer. The steel bottom metal is engraved with a deer head on the floorplate and scrollwork on the surrounding surfaces.
The spiral-fluted bolt body and round, checkered bolt knob add both function and visual detail. Length of pull measures 13.75 in, and the rifle presents a cohesive matte stainless and walnut aesthetic throughout.
