Contract-manufactured by Beretta in Italy for FN/Browning, this BDA-380 carries clear importer and maker markings: "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY - MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q." on the left side, and "FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL" on the right, with the FN oval and PB monogram. "MADE IN ITALY" and "CAL 9 SHORT / 380 AUTO" are also present.
The pistol uses a DA/SA blowback system with an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker and a loaded chamber indicator. The closed-top slide and rear vertical serrations set it apart while providing a solid, familiar handling profile.
Sighting equipment includes fixed front and rear sights. The exposed spur hammer and a magazine release offer traditional controls that are easy to operate.
The aluminum alloy frame keeps weight manageable while the smooth wood grips with Browning medallions add a classic look. The 3.8 in barrel and approximately 6.8 in overall length keep it compact without sacrificing shootability.
Capacity is 13+1 with the included double-stack magazines. Three 13-round steel magazines are provided; maker marks on the magazines are not visible.
