What’s Included
- Original case
The Cowboy Commemorative series was produced only in 1970, and this carbine falls within the CB-prefix serial range associated with that run. It retains the classic Model 94 carbine format with a 20-inch round blued barrel, full-length magazine for a 6+1 capacity, and a saddle ring. It was manufactured in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.
Factory embellishments define this edition. The receiver, lever, and barrel bands are nickel-plated, matched by a bright curved carbine buttplate of the standard two-screw, flush-fitting type. The receiver carries themed engraving: a bronc rider with the words 'BRAVE LAND' and 'BOLD MEN' on the left, and a lariat-and-spurs motif on the right. The walnut buttstock includes an inlaid medallion depicting a cowboy roping cattle.
Sighting equipment is traditional: a hooded front bead pairs with an adjustable buckhorn-style rear sight. The carbine wears satin-finished walnut furniture with a straight grip and carbine forend, and it has a 13.0 length of pull. The action is lever-driven with an exposed hammer.
Factory markings include COWBOY COMMEMORATIVE; WINCHESTER MODEL 94 30-30 WIN MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A.; WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL; and MODEL 1894 WINCHESTER. The barrel is steel with a round profile, and the receiver finish is bright nickel-plated from the factory.
