This Russian-made Molot VEPR-12 stands out with its 19-inch barrel, hinged receiver cover with an integral full-length Picatinny rail, and a VEPR-12 flared magwell funnel. It is customized with hard-to-find Zenitco aluminum handguards and a U.S.-marked polymer pistol grip, and it ships with both an SGM Tactical 25-round drum and a VEPR-branded 12-round box magazine. Built on a steel receiver with a blued/blackened finish, this VEPR-12 uses a semi-automatic, gas-operated system with AK-pattern controls, including a right-side charging handle and an AK-pattern safety lever. The flared VEPR-12 magwell funnel supports fast magazine changes with the included drum and box magazines.
The installed Zenitco B-20L V1.1 lower handguard and B-19 RPK upper gas-tube cover are aluminum and provide a rigid, modernized front end. These Zenitco components are hard to source and are already professionally installed, adding functional durability and accessory space while preserving the gun’s AK-based ergonomics.
Sighting is via AK-pattern iron sights with an AK/RPK-pattern tangent rear (graduated 1–10) and a standard AK-pattern front sight/gas block assembly. The hinged receiver cover integrates a full-length Picatinny rail, providing a solid, continuous mounting surface.
The 19-inch barrel features a factory-threaded muzzle with a removable protective cap installed. The tubular skeleton stock includes a rear sling loop and a polymer buttpad, with a 13.5-inch length of pull for a compact, controllable shoulder fit.
