The OR configuration includes a micro-dot optics cut with a cover plate secured by two rear screws. The slide’s distinctive enclosed/hooded profile is designed to shield the mounted optic area and pairs with front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation. A right-side ejection port window completes the slide features.
Construction is robust and carry-focused: a stainless-steel slide treated with FNC hard-coat in matte black over a glass-filled-nylon polymer frame that incorporates an internal stainless-steel chassis. The 3.37 in stainless barrel is crowned and cut with a 1:10 LH twist.
Controls and ergonomics are modern and fully ambidextrous. It uses a striker-fired action with a flat-faced Performance Carry Trigger and a trigger safety. The pistol includes a fully ambidextrous slide stop and an ambidextrous, reversible magazine release. The frame’s stippled grip texture aids purchase, and an accessory rail is present for compatible add-ons.
TruGlo Tritium Pro night sights are installed from the factory: an orange-ring tritium front (TG-H3) and a U-notch tritium rear (TG-H3). The system is easy to pick up in varied lighting while remaining low-profile for everyday carry.
This R7 Mako offers a micro footprint with double-stack capacity. Maximum capacity is 13+1, and it is made in Troy, Alabama, USA. The model was announced in 2021.
