The Model 41 Performance Center is built on a blued carbon-steel frame and receiver with a 5.5-inch heavy-profile barrel and target crown. The fixed-barrel design keeps the barrel stationary during cycling. Performance Center markings are present.
Sighting equipment includes a micrometer-adjustable rear sight and a front sight base compatible with interchangeable blades. An integral Picatinny-style top rail section is machined into the upper—leaving smooth un-railed sections at the front and behind the rear sight base—providing a mounting surface for optics if desired.
The pistol operates on a single-action, straight blowback system with a smooth, curved trigger and a manual thumb safety. Rear slide serrations aid manipulation. Capacity is 10+1 using single-column magazines.
Ergonomics are enhanced by checkered laminated-wood target grips with a palm swell and a 1911-like grip angle. The pistol measures approximately 10.5 inches in overall length and weighs about 41 ounces unloaded.
The quick-change barrel system allows users to swap between 5.5-inch and 7-inch barrels. This example includes the 5.5-inch barrel.
