The Carbon-15 composite upper and lower receivers are a hallmark of this model, delivering significant weight reduction compared to aluminum while maintaining AR-15 compatibility. This example uses a flat-top upper with an integral Picatinny rail, an ejection-port dust cover, and an integral brass deflector.
The 16 inch barrel is marked "5.56 NATO 1/9" and is threaded at the muzzle with an A2 flash suppressor. A front gas block with bayonet lug and a front sling swivel is installed. Barrel and proof markings include "B MP."
Furniture includes a fixed Carbon-15 stock with a side quick-release/takedown lever, an A2 pistol grip, and two-piece ribbed polymer carbine-length handguards. The rifle uses a standard carbine receiver extension.
Operation is semi-automatic with a direct-impingement gas system and a manual safety. It accepts STANAG-pattern magazines and comes with a 30-round Magpul PMAG. The receiver is marked Ilion, New York, aligning this rifle with 2011–2014 production in the USA.
