The G44 pairs Glock's striker-fired, straight blowback rimfire system with a compact, G19-sized profile, making it a practical trainer with familiar dimensions and controls. The hybrid polymer/steel slide keeps weight manageable while retaining durability, and it wears a matte black finish with front and rear slide serrations for confident manipulation.
Its 4.02-inch Glock Marksman Barrel uses GMB rifling and a counterbored muzzle. The barrel/chamber hood is solid with no top witness port; loaded-chamber status is indicated by the extractor. The pistol is rated for a factory capacity of 10+1 rounds and includes four 10-round magazines to keep range time uninterrupted.
Controls are set up for versatility, with ambidextrous slide stop levers and a reversible magazine release. The trigger includes an integrated safety lever, and the system uses Glock's trigger safety design. An accessory rail is molded into the frame for compatible attachments.
Sighting is straightforward and adjustable: a white-dot front paired with an adjustable white-outline rear notch. The frame is glass-fiber-reinforced polymer in black and includes interchangeable backstraps to fine-tune the grip. This pistol also features non-factory stipple-style grip texturing for added traction.
