Built on the M77 Hawkeye action, this rifle uses controlled-round-feed with a non-rotating Mauser-type claw extractor for positive feeding and extraction. The LC6 trigger and a three-position safety round out a familiar and proven Ruger control set.
The 18.70 in stainless steel barrel is threaded 5/8"-24 and fitted with a flash suppressor. Robust iron sights include a receiver-mounted adjustable ghost-ring rear and a protected post front on a barrel band, providing fast sight alignment out of the box.
The grey/black laminated hardwood stock offers durability and a secure hold with checkering, recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is spacer-adjustable from 12.75 to 14.25 in and is currently set at 13.5 in. The grip-cap bears the Gunsite raven medallion, and the receiver carries the Gunsite rollmark.
A detachable box magazine system accepts AI-style magazines; one 10-round Magpul PMAG 7.62 AC is included. A forward-mounted Picatinny rail supports scout-position optics, and the overall configuration delivers a practical, full-size .308 Win package ready for field use.
