The bore is described as excellent, and the rifle is set up with a three-prong flash hider on standard 5/8x24 threads.

This UCS variant pairs a compact 16-inch barrel with a 1:10 rifling twist to support a wide range of .308 Win loads. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with a three-prong flash hider, providing ready use with the included device and compatibility with common 7.62 muzzle options.
The action is a CZ 557 steel receiver with a smooth bolt and an oversized bolt knob for confident manipulation. It uses a detachable box magazine system with a 10+1 maximum capacity, and this rifle includes one 10-round steel magazine.
The black composite stock features a vertical pistol grip, textured grip panels, a textured fore-end, and a fixed butt with a thick recoil pad. A rear sling stud and two front sling studs provide straightforward sling and bipod attachment. Length of pull is 13.75 inches.
The receiver is roll-marked "CZ 557" and fitted with a one-piece Picatinny scope rail. The rifle has no iron sights. Safety is a two-position design with a red fire indicator.
Proof and origin details include C.I.P. Czech proofs with the Czech lion, a "16" year code, "MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC," and "CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS." The CZ 557 UCS variant was discontinued around 2019.
