The HK VP9X stands out with its crossover configuration that pairs a compact-length 4.09-inch barrel and slide with a full-size grip. This optics-ready 9mm includes a factory cover plate and ships with five 17-round steel magazines. German proof and import markings confirm manufacture in Germany, and the pistol features matching serial numbers on the frame, slide/barrel, and importer plate.
Built on HK's VP series architecture, the VP9X is a striker-fired design with a cold hammer-forged steel barrel and a short-recoil, Browning-type tilting barrel system. Disassembly does not require pulling the trigger. A MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail with three slots supports lights or other rail-mounted equipment.
The slide is cut for optics and includes a cover plate, with front and rear serrations for handling. Iron sights consist of a green-dot front and a plain black rear notch. A red striker status indicator at the rear of the slide provides visual confirmation of striker condition.
Ergonomics are configurable via interchangeable backstraps and side panels specific to the VP series. The ambidextrous, paddle-style magazine release and the pistol's 17+1 capacity round out a control set designed for straightforward operation.
Markings include the German proof mark, DE country code, HKI Columbus, GA import mark, and a Made in Germany roll mark. This is a recent release within the VP series lineup.
