The Carry Comp configuration features an integrally compensated, ported barrel with an Armornite-treated stainless construction. A single 12 o'clock Power Port is integrated ahead of the chamber, and the slide includes a port, a lightening window, and vented cuts at the nose.
The ClearSight optics-cut is designed to route gas away from a mounted optic, and this pistol includes the S&W M&P M2.0 C.O.R.E. screw and plate kit for mounting. The slide is marked Maryville, TN, while the frame is marked Springfield, MA.
Controls include ambidextrous slide stops and a left-side magazine release. It is striker-fired with a flat-faced trigger and safety tab, and it uses a trigger safety only with no external thumb safety. The design is capable of firing with the magazine removed and incorporates an embedded stainless-steel chassis.
Sighting equipment consists of a tritium front night sight with yellow ring marked "NF H3" and a plain black serrated rear in a dovetail. The aggressive M2.0 grip texture enhances control, and four interchangeable palmswell backstraps are included to tune the fit.
