Built on a Mauser 98-type large-ring action with controlled-round feed and a full-length claw extractor, this Model 1924 uses the intermediate-length M.24-series receiver. It retains the classic straight bolt handle with round knob and a rear flag safety.
The configuration follows the short-rifle pattern with a 23.23 in barrel and an overall length of approximately 43.3 in. Feeding is from a 5-round fixed internal box magazine, loaded by charger clips through the receiver bridge. Sights are military iron: a protected front post with integral ears and a tangent rear sight with sliding cursor graduated in meters.
The one-piece hardwood stock has a straight comb, a bolt takedown disc, and bottom sling swivels. A steel buttplate polished in the white completes the service pattern, and a bayonet mounting bar/lug is fitted under the nose cap.
Finish and markings are correct to Yugoslav service. The barrel and receiver are blued, with many small parts and the bolt left in the white. The receiver ring shows the Kingdom of Yugoslavia royal coat of arms crest and 'МОДЕЛ 1924', with Cyrillic rollmarks 'КРАЉЕВИНА ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА' and 'АРТЕХЗАВОД–КРАГУЈЕВАЦ'. Repeated Cyrillic 'Б' inspector stamps appear on small parts.
