The Mk2 update is distinguished by its added front cocking serrations and revised sights and controls, providing confident manipulation and clear sight alignment. This example maintains the model’s full-size format with a 4.8" barrel and a factory 20+1 capacity.
Construction centers on a steel slide core encased in a polymer shroud to reduce weight, paired with an FDE polymer frame. The result is a durable, two-tone configuration (black slide / FDE frame) that handles quickly and balances well.
The pistol uses a single-action, delayed-blowback system tailored to the 5.7x28mm cartridge. It features ambidextrous, frame-mounted manual safeties and an accessory rail for mounting compatible lights or other rail-based accessories.
Sighting is handled by adjustable iron sights, with a tall blade front and an adjustable rear. Markings include FN HERSTAL BELGIUM and FN COLUMBIA SC, reflecting its Belgian origin and FN’s U.S. presence. Developed as the handgun companion to the 5.7x28mm cartridge and FN’s P90 PDW, the Mk2 preceded the later MRD variants introduced in 2022.
