What’s Included
- Browning .22 Semi-Automatic Grade I rifle
Belgian FN production for Browning in 1957 places this rifle squarely in the classic SA-22 era. The Grade I trim includes walnut furniture with cut checkering and a blued steel receiver adorned with factory light scroll engraving on both sides.
The takedown system uses a knurled collar at the barrel junction for quick separation of barrel and receiver, aiding compact transport and maintenance. The bottom-ejecting, blowback-operated action keeps spent cases clear of the shooter.
Feeding is via a tubular magazine housed in the buttstock, loaded through a right-side port integral to the steel buttplate hardware. Capacity is 10+1 in .22 LR.
Sighting equipment consists of a dovetailed blade/bead front and a rotary disc, elevation-adjustable rear "wheel" sight. The barrel measures 19.25 inches, and the length of pull is 14.0 inches.
Receiver and barrel are steel with a blued finish. Markings include "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST. LOUIS, MO., MADE IN BELGIUM" and "BROWNING PATENTS," reflecting its Browning-branded, FN Herstal Belgian manufacture.
