This Springfield Armory XD(M) 3.8 Compact in .45 ACP pairs a 3.8-inch match-grade barrel with a compact, polymer-frame package and a Melonite-treated slide. It is Croatian-made by HS Produkt for Springfield Armory and marked accordingly. The pistol comes with factory XD Gear accessories, three magazines, and a bright, clean bore. Matching serial numbers are present on the slide, barrel, and frame.
The included magazines provide both flush-fit and extended configurations. The sights are dovetailed 3-dot irons, and the frame features interchangeable backstraps. Multiple passive safeties and status indicators are built in, including a grip safety, a safety-bladed trigger, a loaded-chamber indicator, and a striker-status indicator.
The barrel is stamped MATCH and is supported by a captive recoil-spring assembly. An integral 3-slot Picatinny-style rail on the dust cover allows mounting of compatible accessories. The Melonite (nitride) finish on the slide is designed for durability and corrosion resistance.
Markings include MADE IN CROATIA and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A. This XD(M) retains the series' familiar ergonomics and feature set in a compact .45 ACP format with a 12+1 capacity when using the extended magazine.
