Made by Miroku in Japan, this Superlight Grade I carries the PV two-letter date code confirming 1985 production. The receiver shows factory light scroll engraving, and the gun bears correct markings: "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. — MADE IN JAPAN." and "SPECIAL STEEL 20GA - 2 3/4" - 26". Matching assembly numbers are visible inside the forend and iron.
The 26 inch Special Steel barrels have a ventilated, matted rib and a single front bead for a clean sight picture. Chambers are 2 3/4 inch. Chokes are factory fixed with Full in the top barrel and Modified in the bottom barrel.
Controls are straightforward and proven: a single, gold-colored trigger and a tang-mounted safety with integral barrel selector. Ejectors are properly timed, and the lockup is tight, with the top lever resting slightly right of center—details consistent with careful prior use.
The walnut stock has a pistol-grip profile with crisp checkering and a black buttplate, paired with a field-style walnut forend. The gun is set up with a neutral grip and neutral cast, providing a straight, classic fit. The overall blued finish, including the receiver, presents cleanly and complements the Grade I engraving.
