The Match Series configuration centers on practical accuracy. A fully adjustable square-notch rear sight with windage and elevation screws teams with an orange fiber-optic front for fast sight acquisition and fine zeroing. The slide is cut with rear cocking serrations and a lowered/flared ejection port, and it uses a traditional bushing muzzle.
Construction is all steel with a parkerized finish on both slide and frame. The frame wears two-tone checkered wood grip panels with light-colored triangular/diamond inlays near the screw escutcheons, a flat vertically serrated mainspring housing, and a smooth front strap. Safety features include a thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety.
Controls and fire-control parts are tuned for a clean break and quick reset. The pistol uses a skeletonized long 3-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Capacity is 8+1 with single-stack .45 ACP magazines.
