The Vektor CP1 is a compact, South African–made 9mm pistol built around a gas-delayed blowback system with a gas cylinder under the barrel. This example features a polymer frame with steel slide and barrel, fixed sights with a ramped front white insert, and a low-profile rear notch integral to the slide. U.S. import marks from Vektor USA (Norfolk, VA) and period paperwork accompany the pistol, and the model’s early-2000s recall and buy-back contributed to reduced numbers in the U.S. market.

Designed and made in South Africa, the CP1 pairs a steel slide and barrel with a polymer frame to keep weight down while maintaining durability. Its compact size and 4" barrel make it a streamlined, carry-friendly format with a typical capacity of 10+1.
The CP1 uses a gas-delayed blowback action with a gas cylinder under the barrel, a distinctive operating system for a compact 9mm. A manual safety is positioned at the front of the trigger guard.
Sighting is straightforward and low profile: a ramped front sight with a white insert and a fixed rear notch that is integral to the slide. The grip is molded as part of the polymer frame and incorporates an inlaid Vektor logo medallion.
Import markings read "VEKTOR USA NORFOLK VA, MADE IN RSA," documenting U.S. importation. The model later became subject to a safety recall circa 2000, and a U.S. buy-back contributed to reduced numbers on the American market, adding context to its relative scarcity.
