This FNX-45 Tactical is a purpose-built, full-size .45 ACP with a 5.3 inch threaded, cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel. It uses the common .578x28 RH thread pattern and includes a thread protector, making it ready for muzzle devices that match this spec.
The pistol employs a DA/SA, recoil-operated action with an external hammer, plus a manual safety/decocker. Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety/decocker, slide stop, and magazine release, ensuring straightforward operation for both right- and left-handed users.
The optics-milled slide arrives with a cover plate installed and includes two adapter plates with mounting screws, allowing the user to mount compatible optics. Suppressor-height 3-dot iron sights provide a clear sight picture. The slide is marked 'FN Columbia, SC USA,' and the pistol is made in the USA.
The Flat Dark Earth polymer frame integrates a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail and a lanyard loop. Interchangeable backstraps (three additional included) let the shooter tailor the grip. Capacity is 15+1 rounds of .45 ACP, and two 15-round steel magazines are included.
