The upper is a slick-side design that omits the forward assist while retaining a standard ejection port cover. The SLR free-float handguard features elongated lightening slots and a continuous 1913 top rail across the receiver and handguard.

It runs a direct-impingement, semi-automatic system in 5.56mm NATO and offers a 30+1 capacity. The barrel is threaded, and the pinned/welded configuration provides a compliant 16-inch length.
