Product Description

    Sendra XM 15 E2 Pre-Ban AR-15, 5.56mm NATO, 20 inch Barrel, A1 Upper, Rifle-Length Gas, Threaded Muzzle

This Sendra XM 15 E2 is a pre-ban, 1980s-era AR-15 platform rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO. It features a M16A1-pattern fixed carry handle upper with forward assist and no brass deflector, a 20 inch threaded barrel with A1 birdcage flash suppressor, and a bayonet-lug front sight base. Built in the 1982–1989 window and marked with SAFE/SEMI selector positions, it reflects the transitional commercial configuration common to mid-1980s builds.

The rifle uses a rifle-length gas system with A1-pattern iron sights, an A-frame front sight base, and an A1 rear sight in the carry handle. It has detachable STANAG magazine compatibility and comes with two USGI-pattern 30-round magazines and a two-point web sling installed.

Furniture includes a fixed polymer stock with trapdoor buttplate, an A1-pattern pistol grip, and triangular A1-pattern two-piece rifle-length polymer handguards retained by a tapered, ribbed A2-style delta ring. The aluminum alloy receivers have an anodized finish and the rifle was made in the USA.

As a pre-ban Sendra-marked XM 15 E2, this rifle combines an A1-pattern upper with A1-era furniture, aligning with known commercial configurations from the mid-1980s. Capacity is 30+1 with standard STANAG magazines.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Overall Condition: Fair - Generally clean, some residue or smudges, slight corrosion.

Bore Fouling: Moderate Fouling - Lead or copper fouling with noticeable buildup.

Bore Rifling: Poor Rifling - Rifling heavily worn or filled with fouling or debris.

Specific Condition Notes: The rifle shows significant finish loss across exterior surfaces. The bore is visibly dirty with accumulated fouling.

    What's Included

    • Two USGI-pattern 30-round metal STANAG magazines
    • Two-point web sling (installed)

The M16A1-pattern upper has a forward assist and omits the brass deflector, consistent with early-pattern designs. The A1 rear sight is integrated into the fixed carry handle, pairing with the A-frame front sight base for a classic sight picture.

The 20 inch barrel is threaded and fitted with an A1 birdcage flash suppressor. A bayonet-lug front sight base and the rifle-length gas system round out the classic military-style front end.

Controls and markings include a selector safety with SAFE/SEMI positions. The rifle feeds from detachable STANAG magazines, and the stated capacity is 30+1 with standard 30-round magazines.

Furniture is period-appropriate for mid-1980s commercial builds: a fixed polymer stock with trapdoor buttplate, an A1-pattern pistol grip, and triangular A1-pattern two-piece rifle-length handguards retained by a tapered, ribbed A2-style delta ring. The receivers are aluminum alloy with an anodized finish, and the rifle was manufactured in the USA within the 1982–1989 pre-ban timeframe.
