This PT 99 AF runs a DA/SA, short-recoil locked-breech system with a falling locking block and an open-top slide. The full-size aluminum alloy frame pairs with a 4.9 inch steel barrel and a black finish for a classic PT 99 configuration.
Controls include an ambidextrous frame-mounted safety with a red index dot, a left-side push-button magazine release, and a spur hammer. The square/flat-front (hooked) trigger guard and aftermarket Pachmayr rubber grip panels, with molded "Pachmayr" script and round gold Pachmayr crest medallions, complete the configuration.
Sighting is set up with a fixed integral front blade and a micrometer-adjustable rear sight, giving precise, tool-adjustable alignment at the rear.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, capacity is 10+1 and this pistol comes with one 10-round magazine stamped "PT92/99/917 CAL. 9mm MADE IN BRAZIL." Markings include "MADE IN BRAZIL" and "TAURUS INT. MFG. MIAMI, FLA." The slide is finished in black.
